Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motorsports, watched by over 800 million fans across the globe. In Australia, the Melbourne Grand Prix draws over 480,000 people and stops a city in its tracks. The sport continues to gain momentum and popularity.
Since 2024, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation's (AGPC) leadership team has looked to us for executive development to keep pace with the excellence their fans demand.
OUR APPROACH
We work with the AGPC to develop their leaders and teams in parallel. Every session addresses real-time challenges of leading through fast growth and what it takes to deliver on the world stage.
WHAT WE DID
PROGRAM ARCHITECTURE
Inspired by the sport they lead, the AGPC’s leadership team knows the work done off the track is what determines what happens on it. They approach their own leadership development with the same rigor and we built the program to match.
Our strategic design combined in-person and digital delivery, punctuated by biannual off-sites.
Nosworthy Group supported the event management of these off-sites and hosted an F1 Chairman’s business luncheon.
CONTENT DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
We developed the sessions with identified organizational application and lines of enquiry around the leadership practices of Reflection, Regulation and Readiness.
The participant resources we created focused on sparking conversation and reflection.
FACILITATED DELIVERY
We delivered the program via 1:1 coaching with the CEO in tandem with monthly team-wide sessions. With a continuous refinement approach, we adapted each session to the team’s real-time feedback to improve engagement and outcomes.

“Phill is a trusted partner who has been with me every step of the way across more than a decade of leadership. He understands that leading in sport is uniquely demanding, and he has an instinct for knowing when to challenge and when to offer support. What sets him apart is the time he invests in genuinely understanding me, my team, and the environment we operate in, and how he uses that to tailor his approach for maximum impact. He has helped me grow as a leader through incredibly high-pressure moments and decisions. His approach is never generic; it’s considered, purposeful, and always in service of helping me and my team be our best.” - Travis Auld, CEO, Australian Grand Prix Corporation
